Mastercard and FinTech North to partner in 2023 to develop and grow FinTech ecosystems
FinTech North is delighted to announce that it will be continuing its partnership with Mastercard, working together across 2023 with Mastercard as a Strategic Partner.
Mastercard need no introduction as a global provider of Financial Services and key supporter of the UK FinTech sector.
With regional FinTech going from strength to strength, and investment into FinTech outside of London reaching record levels, the timing could not be better to form lasting partnerships to help support and develop sustainable FinTech growth across the North. We are therefore delighted to announce that Mastercard is partnering with FinTech North, to help develop the FinTech sector in the North and across the UK.
FinTech North helps build and sustain a dedicated FinTech community across the Northern Powerhouse. We bring together a community of over 5k people who are interested in and work in FinTech in the North, through events, conferences, webinars and trade missions.
Joe Roche, Engagement Manager at FinTech North said; “We are delighted to continue our work with Mastercard to support and develop the regional FinTech ecosystems in the North. Mastercard have been invaluable partners over the past 12 months, providing insight at our events and helping to leverage connections across the national and international FinTech ecosystems that they support.”
Derren Powell, Vice President of FinTech at Mastercard UK commented: “Throughout the last year I have been impressed by the tremendous work of FinTech North, from facilitating events and conferences to the connections they have enabled for accelerating FinTechs and start-ups. So, I’m delighted to extend our partnership and ensure Mastercard’s support for the region’s financial technology innovators.”
As part of an annual strategic partnership, Mastercard will support activity that assists in developing the ecosystems and growing FinTechs in the North, including supporting all of our major flagship conferences in Newcastle, Manchester and Leeds, as well as supporting various events focussing on Financial Inclusion and Ethical FinTech across the year.
