FinTech North Announce Inaugural Skills Partner, Luminate Educate Group

FinTech North are thrilled to unveil our inaugural skills partner, Luminate Educate Group!

Comprising a cohort of education providers across Yorkshire, Luminate Education Group is dedicated to delivering educational excellence from early years through to further and higher education settings. With members including Leeds Conservatoire, Keighley College, Leeds City College, Harrogate College, University Centre Leeds, Leeds Sixth Form College, and Yorkshire Centre for Training & Development, Luminate Education Group brings a wealth of expertise and resources to the table.

This partnership marks a significant milestone for FinTech North as we continue our mission to bridge the skills gap between employers and talent supply. We are excited to embark on this journey with Luminate Educate Group and are eager to see where this collaboration takes us.

By working together as our inaugural Strategic Skills Partner, Luminate Group will be able to increase skill levels, involve more FPS workers in training programmes, improve employment levels and attract and retain workers into the sector.

We first announced our exciting partnership by joining forces for our West Yorkshire Finance & Professional Skills (FPS) Report Launch. The afternoon was filled with valuable insights illuminated by the findings of Whitecap Consulting’s West Yorkshire Finance & Professional Skills (FPS) Report and discussion of the current position of skills in FPS with particular focus surrounding FinTech. We also featured Luminate Education Group on a Skills-focused panel discussion as part of our Leeds Conference 2024 in May.

Luminate will continue to play an integral role to all future Skills focussed activities this year.

Rebecca Fores, Associate Dean of Higher Education, Luminate Education Group said:

“Our alliance with FinTech North acts as a concrete step towards bolstering the availability of FinTech skills within West Yorkshire and beyond. Together, we’re committed to equip individuals with the knowledge and expertise necessary to thrive, provide valuable talent pipelines for FinTech and Financial Services employers and unlock real employment opportunities for the region.”

Joe Roche, General Manager, FinTech North said:

“It’s fantastic to be able to see skills activity, a new pillar within our strategy, realised through our first skills partnership with an organisation so focussed on using their insights, experience and connections as a catalyst for positive change in the financial and professional services space.”
