FinTech North is delighted to announce the return of our flagship Liverpool Conference in 2025, hosted in partnership with Adoptech, Bruntwood SciTech, Mastercard,  Vilja and Liverpool City Region Combined Authority at the iconic Royal Liver Building on the Liverpool Waterfront.

Completed in 1911 as one of the world’s first reinforced concrete skyscrapers, it was a marvel of technology and ambition. Its enduring presence reflects the Liverpool city region’s transformation from a maritime powerhouse to a hub of modern commerce and innovation. The landmark plays a crucial role in the city’s history, with its fabled Liver Birds atop, said to protect the port and the city. Aside from its rich cultural importance, the building offers breathtaking views of the water, city and beyond.

Situated at the heart of the city’s Pier Head, the Royal Liver Building anchors Liverpool’s history as a centre for global trade and finance. It originally housed the Royal Liver Assurance Company, one of the city’s key financial institutions, underscoring its ties to business and the local economy.

As the Liverpool City Region emerges as a vibrant technology and financial hub, hosting our flagship conference here underscores the city’s evolution. With its rich heritage, deep connections to business, community and unparalleled view of Liverpool’s breathtaking waterfront, the Royal Liver Building is symbolic of the city’s spirit—one of boldness, creativity, and progress. It’s more than a venue; it’s a statement about the Liverpool City Region’s past, present, and future as a global leader in commerce and innovation.

The Liverpool City Region’s FinTech ecosystem has seen remarkable and ongoing growth, driven by a spirit of collaboration across sectors. Findings from Whitecap Consulting’s 2023 regional strategy report highlight the breadth of activity underway with more than 40 FinTechs in the region—from InsurTech to RegTech, FraudTech, and WealthTech—showcasing Liverpool’s diverse expertise. The report also calls for continued collaboration, which we aim to foster through events like this flagship gathering. In bringing together startups, scale-ups, investors, and thought leaders, we aim to celebrate and showcase the region’s progress and its contributions to the national FinTech landscape.

Returning to Liverpool for a third annual conference is a testament to the sector’s growth and the increasing interest in the region. This year’s event was the largest FinTech gathering the region has ever seen, with around 130 attendees, and the 2025 conference is set to build on this momentum. We’re excited to continue highlighting the unique strengths of Liverpool’s FinTech community and to connect stakeholders from across the ecosystem to drive innovation, investment and sector development.

Ticketing Structure

In 2025, we have evolved our ticketing structure to reflect our community’s feedback; creating more choice, flexibility and increased opportunities for networking.

With this in mind, we have split the day into two sessions with distinct themes for each to be announced soon, meaning you can either purchase a full-day ticket or select the session that is most relevant to you at a reduced rate.

We know our community finds the networking aspect of our events the most valuable, which is why we’re excited to introduce a social event on the evening of the Liverpool Conference. This provides an excellent opportunity to continue networking with your fellow delegates over food and drink.
