At FinTech North, we have always positioned ourselves as a vital link between academia and industry. As many within our community are aware, enhancing the supply of FinTech skills across the North of England has been a key strategic priority for us. We are excited to continue advancing this mission in 2025.
Since embarking on this journey, we have already made significant progress, including:
- Establishing a Skills Steering Committee to guide and shape our initiatives.
- Hosting seven skills-focused events, raising awareness of FinTech as a viable career path and fostering connections between employers and emerging talent.
- Collaborating with a leading Northern university to develop and deliver a FinTech upskilling course, equipping graduates and aspiring professionals with the necessary skills to thrive in the sector.
- Designing a FinTech Product Manager apprenticeship, working in partnership with IFATE to gain accreditation and further strengthen industry training pathways.
With the support of our Skills Steering Committee and valued partners, we have refined our offering to employers and enhanced the ways in which businesses can engage with FinTech North to support the development of talent in the region.
