British Business Bank announce opportunity for regional fintech businesses and founders to pitch to London investors
FinTech North is delighted to support the British Business Bank with their upcoming UKBAA TechInvest event, as part of a series curated for fintech businesses and founders to pitch to London investors.
TechInvest: Investing across the UK is an innovative event series presented in partnership with the UKBAA UK Business Angels Association and the British Business Bank. This four-part series will spotlight a range of the UK’s standout sectors, including: AI, HealthTech, FinTech and CleanTech, at a series of London-based pitch showcases.
Presented as four separate events, each pitch showcase will spotlight 10 founders at the forefront of their respective sectors. Working with a panel of expert judges, a selection of leading innovators will be handpicked to take to the stage and pitch at each event. Drawn from UKBAA’s community of early-stage investors, the audience will be made up of leading angels and VCs who collectively deploy over £2.3bn per annum, each seeking to tap into incredible high-growth potential talent.
The second event in the series is focusing on FinTech (taking place in-person in London on 5th December). If you are a tech innovator that is actively raising investment and offering a game-changing solution in this sector apply by 3rd November at midnight for your chance to pitch!
For businesses based in the regions or those with a substantial connection to the regions (outside of London), we’re pleased to share that you can now apply to take part!
Who should apply? Businesses that are:
- Based in the regions or with significant regional connections (outside of London)
- Actively raising investment in the range of £250k-£3m
- Demonstrate the potential to scale/possibility of disruption in their sector
- Developing a FinTech-focused solution or service
