Bank of England: Diversity in FinTech – 6th April Hybrid event in Leeds and London
As part of UK Fintech Week, the Bank of England is hosting an event on Diversity in Fintech on Wednesday 6th April.
The Bank recently published an independent review of ethnic diversity and inclusion within the Bank and a discussion paper jointly with the FCA on diversity in financial services. In collaboration with FinTech North, Innovate Finance and TechNation, The Bank want to use this opportunity to share views openly and discuss practical ways the Fintech sector can broaden representation.
The event will be hosted at the Bank of England in London and Nexus, University of Leeds for those wishing to attend in person. There is also an option to join virtually for those wishing to do so.
The London panel will include Dr Dexter Penn, founder and CEO of Kalgera, Sujata Bhatia, COO of Monzo and Sunil Jindal, Regional Business Development Head of Diversio, and will be moderated by Victoria Cleland, Executive Director for Banking, Payments and Innovation at the Bank of England.
The Leeds panel will include Laura Pomfret, co-founder of Financielle, Jordan Dargue, Director at NorthInvest and founder of Fund Her North, Phil Benson, co-founder and North and Midlands lead of UKBlackTech, and Andrew Rabbit, CEO of Incuto, and will be moderated by Chris Sier, Chair of FinTech North.
